iOS 4 boasts of features that are highly fascinating and thrilling. Apple like any other release comes up with over a 100 new features. We can’t wait to put this new engine under the hood of our favorite devices to get them supercharged.

1. Multitasking: Needless to mention this is one thing we have been missing since the day we got our hands on these devices. Tweeting or updating Facebook while listening to music wouldn’t hurt with the advent of multitasking with the iOS4. Compromise on battery life on iPhone 3G and 3GS is negligible.

2. Smart folders: I’ve always wanted to unclutter by home screen. I’m extremely delighted to find Smart Folders with the new iOS4. I think they call it smart because it can look up the app category and create a folder with the category name. All done with a press on the screen and a drag.

3. Multiple Exchange Accounts: With the new iOS4, apple has sharpened its strategic move on the capability to add multiple Microsoft Exchange server accounts. Syncing notes with Gmail and Mobile me are equally pleasing to end-users. With the Exchange server 2010 getting more popular Apple has familiarized its iOS 4 with Exchange server 2010.

4. 5x optical camera zoom: iOS4 lets you zoom 5x whatever your camera is pointing at with no addition app that comes from app store as it previously used to be. The zooming capability now comes right from the firmware. This will be a great advantage as the previous app store apps come with a price tag if you were to zoom.

5. Wi-Fi Stable in Sleep Mode: I’ve always wanted my iPhone to be able to await a VOIP call while the phone is in sleep mode. This is now possible with iOS running in my phone. Thanks to Apple’s engineering brilliance.

6. Stream YouTube Videos In safari: YouTube and Apple still have their hands joined on streaming videos. What has changed this time with the iOS is the ability to stream YouTube videos to our phone in Safari. None of us would mind if we ever happen to delete that YouTube app by mistake.

7. Supports Bluetooth Keyboard Tethering: Typing using a full-fledged keyboard beats the touch screen any day. iOS4 now supports pairing your Bluetooth keyboard with the handheld device. Now write that email using your Bluetooth keyboard.

8. Enhanced Email Attachments: Who wouldn’t like a preview of email attachments even before you open it? With Exchange server capabilities added to the device this is one great necessity, glad to know that it’s now possible.

9. iOS4 SSL VPN : Apple is now delving to woo enterprise customers by introducing SSL VPN. This will go hand in hand with other enterprise feature built into these devices. This is a brand new feature with iOS4

10. Video Autofocus: In addition to HD video recording is autofocus which will allow your IPhone 3G and 3GS generate more vivid results. IPhone 4 comes with 720p HD video recording capability.
